One illustration a day during one month, 2023
Le défi Inktober challenge proposes artists to create one drawing a day on a theme during the month of October, initially in black ink. Whereas for Inktober 2022 I chose to do a tribute to Jacques Tardi, for 2023 I decided once again to twist the proposal by using a black BIC pen on a very small format (about 4x4 cm) as my artistic tool.
These 15 illustrations are the result of this exploration of the tool, scanned and then digitally coloured. The pen allows me to play with the intensity of the black and the textures, but also offers a form of randomness in the line, which makes the graphic result all the more interesting when coupled with digital colouring.
