When searching for graphic guidelines for the festival Les Bouilles Heureuses, I went to immerse myself in Distillery 168 on site. This triptych is the result of my graphic research.
Using Indian ink on A3 paper, these three drawings aim to capture the highly graphic forms of beverage production through series, repetition, and the interplay of transparency and reflection in glass.
Bottles become a powerful motif in the staging of the ambivalent production of a rural distillery, somewhere between artisanal manufacturing and proto-industrial methods.
Digitally added colours highlight the effects of solids and voids in the ink patterns while creating sensitive environments with little spatialisation. They complete and enhance the graphic aspect of these experiments.
