Les Bouilles Heureuses is an annual architecture festival that invites participants to experiment with recycled materials from local sources (< 100 km) by building architectural and landscape features. It promotes and raises awareness of the values of inclusiveness, ecology and working together.
Located on a small-scale distillery established in 2021 in the Pays de Retz region, the festival takes place in the former agricultural buildings on site. During the first edition of the festival Les Bouilles Heureuses 2022, main hangar housed the catering tables, bar, stage and dance floor. The mural painted during this edition depicts this spatial layout using two complementary colours. Created in just three days by four people, it permanently transformed the festival-goers' living space.
