My many hours of work on the computer are punctuated by anonymous tracks available for free on the internet. These album covers for the fictional band Feld Grau are a tribute to these complete artists, who are musicians, graphic designers and illustrators.
Made from personal analogue photographs, the album covers are conceived as unique musical universes ranging from lo-fi japanese to classical jazz, including contemporary hyperpop and 90s hip-hop.
Photographs are digitally transformed, sometimes taking inspiration from risography or silkscreen printing, and then combined with original or altered typography. The whole thing is reminiscent of albums found at a garage sale by an eclectic music fan.
