Illustrations on the theme of trains, 2023

Three illustrations on the theme of train travel. These digital paintings portray a personal childhood fascination for these gigantic rolling objects that become home for the duration of a journey.
As a child, I was lucky enough to be able to ride in a TGV Atlantique locomotive, now almost extinct, and also in a BB 7200 locomotive pulling Corail carriages. That's how my passion for trains began. The 2x1.5 metre HO scale model in my bedroom only confirmed this fascination.
This triptych is an opportunity to immerse myself in the images of trains that have marked me. The first takes up the question of home in these typical Corail coach seats on a coastal line. The second shows the first helicopter turbine-powered TGV, the orange “Patrick” prototype, crossing a snow-covered viaduct. The last evokes modern rural trains in the middle of summer, making their way through fields of wheat.
