As part of the Divers(c)ité programme and following on from C’est la pausestudent project, I was asked to design and run co-design workshops with Marion Turpin at Lycée Jean-Perrin in Nantes. Every week for 2 months, volunteer students came to learn about architectural projects. The aim was to get them to transform their living spaces while developing their knowledge in architecture.
Workshops took place in 2 stages, beginning with defining specifications. During the first phase, furniture was designed to restructure the wide-open space of the Maison des Lycéens, while the second phase was devoted to exploring various devices adapted to courtyard's uses. All of this was done in conjunction with the school's professional courses (boilermaking + fashion) during the design phases, so that these skills could be integrated into the production of the pieces of furniture.
