Greetings card for the commune of Indre, design by Alice Tranié, 2025
The commune of Indre is located on the islands of Haute-Indre, Basse-Indre and Indret, downstream from Nantes. In 2025, a number of major projects will be taking place in the commune, including the creation of a major cycle route, the construction of a restaurant and the redevelopment of several school playgrounds. The town council wanted to publicise these changes as it welcomed in the new year. With this in mind, it contacted Alice Tranié to design the greetings card.
Asked to work on the illustration for this card, I immediately thought about the town's territory, its architecture and its landscapes. The town of Indre is perched on a rock on the banks of the royal river. It was the perfect opportunity to see the town in the midst of its transformation from the vantage point of a bicycle.
